Every six months, STB offers a half-year internship for four university-level business or tourism students from the Scandinavian countries.
We welcome Norwegian, Swedish and Danish students to apply for this position.


Title: Marketing intern
Last Application date: November 1, 2010
Preliminary Start Date: March 2, 2011
Placement: Tokyo or Beijing

 

 

 


Responsibilities:

・ Assist the CRM team in the day-to-day activities such as updating databases, translation, media input, reporting and article writing, organizing events, and undertaking research
・ Conduct daily administrative tasks
・ Attend events when suitable
・ Provide a written evaluation report at conclusion of internship
・ Individual project, TBD after further discussion


Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

・ Fluent English and Scandinavian language
・ Written and verbal communication skills
・ Basic understanding of tourism concepts and theory
・ Organized and efficient
・ Good attention to detail and quality
・ Pro-active and self going
・ Self-motivated
・ Interest in Asia & openness towards experiencing new cultures
・ Preferably students in the area of political science, economics, sociology or business


Please note:

・ This is a voluntary work experience position, i.e. no salary. However housing is provided (equivalent to approx. JPY100 000 per month in Japan only). Please note that interns are responsible for finding and cover housing by themselves in China.
・ Minimum stay is three months, although candidates able to stay the full six months are more desirable
・ Applicants are are responsible for their own visa requirements
・ Interns must have a valid travel insurance
・ Interns are themselves responsible for booking and paying for their transportation from/to Scandinavia.
